O.J. Mayo Comments On The USC Situation

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (But The Game Is On) – O.J. Mayo has a response to the happenings at his alma mater. USC decided yesterday to remove all murals of Mayo and to try to erase the footprints he left in the program as a way of starting over with their athletic program. Mayo was accused of receiving money and perks from agent representatives when he was recruited by USC prompting the NCAA to investigate and to impose sanctions on USC.

“The decision has been made,” Mayo told me in an exclusive interview with But The Game Is On. “I gotta continue just playing ball. No matter what I say I really can’t help the situation because the final decision is made.”

Mayo has a lot on his plate this summer with Team USA and the transition to point guard with his NBA team, the Memphis Grizzlies, so this drama is obviously something he wished he could avoid.
